Royal Pleasure made a fantastic start for his new Owner and trainers at Thirsk on Saturday 4th May.

After a nervy wait to see if the over night rain had ruined his chances, Jockey Joanna Mason walked the track, and confirmed we were good to go!

In the parade ring Royal looked absolutely stunning and was very relaxed and laid back. In the race Royal came out of the gate slowly and Joanna tucked him in at the back of the pack, he moved well into the race at mid stage and was unlucky to be blocked off (by the eventual winner). In the final furlong, when he saw some open ground he quickened and finished off a very respectable 4th!

Joanna was extremely happy with his first run, and after the great news that he has retuned home in great shape, we have the beginnings of a very exciting season ahead! He already has an entry on Friday 10th May at Ripon, but we will also be looking at other suitable races as well.
