Today we have had to make the unbelievably difficult decision to re-home Simmy’s Footprints.

Unfortunately, after giving him yet another break from training, he has again come back lame. It is unfair of us to keep putting him through this.

David Easterby and myself, have been communicating all day, and have been battling out the pro’s and con’s.

It is the same hip that has been giving him agro, we had the option to investigate and operate, which of course would be very expensive, may not improve his health, and may not be the best option for Simmy, or to send him out on a new adventure.

We at Tomlinson Racing have a massive personal connection and love for Simmy, and certainly haven’t made this decision lightly.

Ultimately, the best thing for Simmy is that he is fit, healthy and in a happy environment, and wish him the best of luck for his relaxing and enjoyable future.
